Web Marketing Internship
Bayard, Inc. is looking for a Web Marketing intern to help us strengthen the online presence of our brands. This internship is a great way to learn about the Catholic Publishing industry but also a good introduction to the main challenges and stakes of Online Marketing.
Duties will include
- Analyzing the position of our websites and our competitors on Google through mobile and desktop
- Perform keyword research relevant for SEO
- Optimizing web content, editing HTML code, link building
- Help us creating/updating content for our Websites and Social Media
- Update website pages with relevant keywords to enhance organic visibility
- Improve metadata across main website pages
- Create short benchmarks: Stay up-to-date with latest changes and opportunities in the world of SEO and in the Catholic Publishing industry online
- Manage automated email communications
Skills needs
- Prior experience with blogs or WordPress is a plus
- Knowledge of HTML, web design or programming languages is a plus
- Basic understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Basic understanding of social media
- Excellent writing and communication skills
What Will You Learn?
- More about the digital marketing ecosystem
- How to better define an online audience
- All the basics of search engine optimization, from keyword research, to on-site optimization, off-site optimization and some technical SEO
Goals and Objectives for the position
- Assist the web marketing analyst in meeting deadlines and creating content for print and web
- Be able to handle multiple projects at once. Ability to be organized and manage time effectively
